Caramel Popcorn



Popcorn is one of the most famous snacks in the world. Watching a movie and snacking on some Popcorn goes hand in hand.

If you are a sweet tooth this recipe is for you. 


This Candy Corn or Caramel Popcorn is sweet but salty, once you start munching you will not be able to stop yourself.

BEWARE: This is a highly addictive sweet snack, that you absolutely have to try.


Ingredients:

4 t     Oil

½C   Un-popped Popcorn

2C    Sugar

60g Butter

 
Step1: Make the Popcorn

1. Put the Oil and Popcorn into a large pot and cover it with a lid.

2. Leave it on medium heat, until you hear it pop.

3. Shake the pot with the lid on. This moves the un-popped popcorn to the bottom.

4. Once the popcorn has stopped popping, pour it out onto a baking sheet pan.

 
Step2: Make the Caramel Sauce

5. Pour the Sugar into a non-stick pan and allow it to melt slowly, on low to medium heat.

6. Use a silicone spatula to stir the melting sugar mixture. 

7. Once the Sugar has melted completely, remove it from the heat, add the Butter and stir it through slowly until it forms a caramel toffee sauce.

8. Put a layer of popped Popcorn onto a baking sheet and pour the caramel sauce over it. Repeat this until all popcorn is covered. 

9. Allow it to cool and break the Caramel Popcorn into smaller pieces.


This delicious sweet treat has the ability to bring back great memories for some or it can create new memories for others.
