Make Pizza Dough from scratch


Would you believe me if I said making Pizza dough from scratch is easy?

Maybe…


Try this recipe and find out for yourself.


Ingredients:

4½ C        Cake/Bread Flour

1¾ t          Salt

1 pkt         Instant Yeast (10g)

¼C           Olive / Sunflower Oil

1¾ C        Iced Cold Water

 

1. Put the Flour, Salt and Yeast into a mixing bowl. Mix it together.

2. Add the Oil and Water to the dry ingredients.

3. Mix and knead the dough until the it forms a stiff round ball. Knead the dough for +/-10 minutes.

Tip: Add extra Water or Flour, if the dough is too dry or too wet.

4. Place the pizza dough into a bowl.

5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow it to rest for 1-2 hours or until it has doubled in size.

Tip: Always treat your dough like a newborn baby. Wrap your bowl in a blanket and place it in a warm, sunny area, that is free from windy drafts.
