Last Morning of 2015!
Call it nostalgia or boredom. Not quite sure but I thought that I should leave 2015 by baking an old fashioned recipe.
The kind of recipe our grandma’s would have baked. Rolling out, cookie cutters and sprinkles…
I must say it was easier than I thought and a heap of fun!
Plain “Old
Fashioned” Cookies (Makes +/- 50)
3 C Cake Flour
½ t Baking Powder
½ t Crème of Tartar
1 C Sugar
250 g Margarine
2 Eggs
- Sift Cake Flour, Baking Powder and Crème of Tartar in a bowl.
- Add Sugar and stir through.
- Add Margarine to dry ingredients and rub in.
- Add Eggs to form a soft dough.
- Cover with Cling Wrap and refrigerate for ½ hour.
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Grab some flour, cookie cutters and sprinkles.
- Spray or Oil some baking sheet pans.
- Sprinkle a clean surface with some flour, roll out some dough to ½ cm thick, cut out some shapes and decorate.

Pretty, Light and Crispy…
